Our department is one of the leading criminal justice programs in the US. According to the Top Research Universities Faculty Scholarly Productivity Index,
the Department of Criminal Justice at Temple University improved on its 7th place ranking in 2006 to hit 6th position in US rankings in 2007.
We offer a range of flexible study options from undergraduate to Masters and PhD studies. The BA in Criminal Justice is offered at both our main campus just north of the city center in Philadelphia, as well as at our Ambler Campus in the suburb to the north of the city.
The Criminal Justice M.A. program serves students who begin or rejoin professional careers in management, administration, or specialist positions in a vast array of governmental and private criminal justice and related agencies. The PhD degree program prepares scholars who will provide the future leadership in academia, private and governmental research agencies, and policy level positions in criminal justice and other social planning positions.
The department is also home to the Temple University Criminal Justice Training Program that supports local and state law enforcement.
