The Past, Present, and Future of Criminal Justice Policy in Philadelphia
February 21 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm
On Tuesday, February 21st there will be a criminal justice policy discussion focussing on the past, present, and future of criminal justice policy in Philadelphia. The panel will include Marsha Levick, Esq. from the Juvenile Law Center, Dr. Caterina Roman from the Department of Criminal Justice at Temple University, and Dr. Evan Sorg from the Department of Law and Justice Studies at Rowan University.
The focus on past criminal justice policies will address what policies have had the biggest historic impacts (for better or worse) on criminal justice in Philadelphia?
The present discussions will focus on what policies, or recent policy changes, are currently foremost in shaping the face of criminal justice in Philadelphia today?
The future will analyze any policy changes on the horizon that can significantly help, or hurt, Philadelphia’s criminal justice system and where criminal justice reform activists should be focusing their effort to have the most impact.
