Upon completing his Ph.D, from Temple University, George Diemer joined the Economics faculty in fall 2008. Aside from teaching at Temple, Dr. Diemer has taught at a number of institutions including LaSalle University, The College of New Jersey, and Arcadia University. Classes taught include Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, The Global Economy, The American Economy, and Sports and Economics. Prior to his career in academics, Dr. Diemer worked as a real estate developer for ten years for a family business that developed commercial property in the Philadelphia/Southern New Jersey area. Dr. Diemer's current area of research interests includes Sports and Economics, the gambling market for sporting events as it translates to the financial market, and Industrial Organization.
