Macroeconomics, Labor Economics


Pedro Silos joined the Department of Economics at Temple University in the Fall of 2015. His major research areas are macroeconomics and labor economics. In particular, he has focused on the aggregate implications of labor market dynamics, the cyclical behavior of income shares, and the pricing of risk in the labor market, among other topics.

Prior to joining Temple, he spent ten years as a research economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He received his doctorate in economics in 2005 from the University of Iowa and his master’s degree in economics from the University of Virginia.
