Professor Lady received his Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University in Political Economy. Before coming to Temple in 1981 he managed the U.S. Department of Energy's Energy Information Administration quality control program for computer-based forecasting and analysis systems. This experience is reflected in his subsequent academic research featuring two articles in Econometrica ; and, articles in journals specializing in energy-related subject matter and mathematical systems. Dr. Lady is a coauthor of Nonparametric Comparative Statics and Stability published in 1999 by Princeton University Press as the seminal work on the nonparametric properties of mathematical systems. He has taught a wide range of graduate and undergraduate economics courses at Temple, including a course in computer-based economic analysis for which he developed the subject matter content and supporting software.
