He was one of the youngest ever appointed by the State Dept. to a Fulbright Lectureship, at the Ecole Nationale d'Administration in Bamako, Mali. Dr. Taylor has interwoven an academic career with one in applied economic development, serving on technical assistance missions in Algeria, Kenya, Congo and Liberia, in economic development programs and municipal government in Camden, NJ, Lancaster and Chester, PA, and on a State Dept.-financed technical assistance mission to assist with the transition of the former SSR Kazakhstan to a decentralized market economy. He teaches Principles courses, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Public Finance and the occasionally offered State and Local Finance. His research interests are in the macroeconomic labor market and the "rhetoric" of economics.
