Dr. Ulu earned a PhD in Applied Economics from Western Michigan University in 2004 and an MA in Economics from Bosporus University. Her BA degree is in Mathematics. Prior to joining the Temple University, she worked as an assistant professor at American University of Beirut and SCSU. Dr. Ulu's recent research areas include volatility and forecasting under asymmetric loss, and effect of macro announcements on financial markets. Her recent publications are in the International Journal of Forecasting, Econometric Reviews, and Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions, and Money.
