Temple’s graduate Creative Writing program was founded in the fall of 1984. Thirty years later, its faculty and student writers continue to change the face of the national writing scene. The program began after several department members decided to take advantage of the presence of so many talented published writers on the Temple English Department faculty. Temple’s degree switched from an M.A. to an M.F.A. in English-Creative Writing in the fall of 2010.
