The Department of French, German, Italian & Slavic (FGIS) includes over 32 faculty members and 90 language majors. The FGIS department offers programs leading to an undergraduate major, minor, or certificate of language proficiency in French, German, or Italian as well as studies in Russian.

    Russian and German student alumna Julie Seidman (CLA ’15) has just been named a recipient of the Fulbright English teaching Assistant (ETA) Program. She will assist in teaching English in Ukraine starting in September 2016. Congratulations!
