The Department of French, German, Italian & Slavic (FGIS) includes over 32 faculty members and 90 language majors. The FGIS department offers programs leading to an undergraduate major, minor, or certificate of language proficiency in French, German, or Italian as well as studies in Russian.

    After receiving the Fulbright Ukraine Scholarship, Russian student Julie Seidman (CLA ’16) was offered a position teaching English in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
