German Literature and Linguistics; German as a Foreign Language
A native of Indonesia, Lusi McKinley, holds a B.A. in German Studies from Padjadjaran University in Bandung. She continued her studies as a fellowship student at the Otto Friedrich Universität in Bamberg, Germany, where she earned a M.A. in German Literature and Linguistics and completed a six-month internship at the German Parliament, then located, in Bonn. After a lengthy residence in Europe, Ms. McKinley, moved to the Washington, D.C. area where she worked as an Editorial Assistant at the German Historical Institute. Having relocated to Philadelphia, she has spent the past 10+ years teaching undergraduate German classes—predominantly at Drexel University, Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania.
