Sarah Heck

Sarah Heck is a Ph.D. student in Geography and Urban Studies at Temple University. She received her B.A in Environmental Geography from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale, and her M.A. in Geoscience from Georgia State University. Her areas of interest include the production of urban space, social justice, youth activism, social action research, feminist geography and critical race theory. Her previous research focused on the Occupy Wall Street moment and explored the production of space in political movements. Currently, she is interested in youth activism and urban youth civic engagement.
