Linda Chavers photo

Linda Chavers holds a Ph.D. in African American Studies from Harvard University. Her dissertation examines tropes of the interracial imagination in the works of William Faulkner and Richard Wright. She is currently working on turning her project into a series of essays on the interracial imagination in contemporary popular culture. A native Washingtonian, Dr. Chavers spent her pre-graduate school years in New York City working for a number of magazines including The Nation, Vogue, and The New York Times.
