Jane Gee received her B.S. in Education from Temple and an M.A. in Humanities from Arcadia University. She has completed extensive coursework towards a second M.A. in TESOL, also at Temple. She has taught English in high school, ESL, Humanities, and developmental English in higher education. She has taught at Penn State and is also a faculty member in English at the Community College of Philadelphia. Her primary interests include reading and writing education for native and non-native speakers of English and has recently published an article on Reading Circles in The Teaching Professor. She is also a painter and an extra with the Opera Company of Philadelphia. She recently appeared in Rossini's Barber of Seville.
