  • CLA Academic Listservs February 2010 Update - As of Wednesday, February 17, 2010, all of the CLA-managed academic Listservs are active with the most current enrollment data including majors, minors, and certificate programs.   • eGrading Reminder - This is a reminder that all Fall 2009 grades must be entered into the eGrading system by 10:00 PM December 22nd. Please see the CLA IT memo on eGrading for more information on the deadline, online training, and in-person assistance. (12/16/2009)
  • Stata v. 11 MP2 Now Available - CLA IT has upgraded our network license for STATA LogoStata from the SE flavor of v. 10 to the MP2 flavor of v. 11. Stata is data analysis and statistical software that is multi-platform (Windows, Mac, and Unix) with MP2 supporting dual-core CPUs and dual processor configurations. The new version will be available in labs and classrooms for the spring 2010 semester and can be requested for any Temple-owned desktop and laptop computers via TUHelp. (11/19/2009)
  • JMP LogoData Analysis with JMP - Temple has acquired a site license for the JMP statistical discovery software package. To receive the software, you can download it or request installation on your computer via TUHelp. JMP staff will direct a seminar on its use, to be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2009, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM in room 111 of the TECH Center. To register, please visit Temple Seminars. (10/12/2009)
  • Power Management to be Implemented on University PCs - To support Temple's commitment to sustainability, the Office of Sustainability and CLA IT are implementing power management on University PC computers. For more information, please see the Power Management Website. (10/2/2009)
  • CLA IT Internships - the College of Liberal Arts Information Technology department is currently seeking students interested in internships for Spring 2010. Please see our internship page for details and application. (9/11/2009)
  • Summer 2009 Classroom Upgrades - During the summer of 2009 new smart classroom systems were installed in Anderson AC 206, Gladfelter 230, and Gladfelter 748 plus Weiss 642 was upgraded to a state-of-the-art video conferencing space. Please see our Learning Spaces page for more details on all of our labs and classrooms. (8/31/2009)
  • CLA Information Technology Award Established - CLA IT has established an annual Information Technology Award. The prize will be awarded on a competitive basis to a graduating senior in the College of Liberal Arts who has excelled in the use of technology in his/her coursework during their educational tenure in the College of Liberal Arts.   • CLA Lab/Classroom Hours Expanded - In January 2009 we expanded the hours in which our computer labs and classrooms are open. During the fall and spring semesters we are now open from 7:30 AM to 9:30 PM Monday through Thursday and until 7:30 PM on Friday. During school breaks and summer sessions our hours are 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM on weekdays. (1/20/2009)
  • TurningPoint "Clicker" Support Available in Every Smart Classroom - TurningPoint interactive classroom response system is now installed in every CLA smart classroom. Please see the Instructional Technology page for more details. (1/20/2009)
  • College-Wide Wireless Project Complete - Comprehensive wireless coverage is now available in all CLA spaces and a new less obtrusive WiFi4Owls security paradigm has replaced the former Wireless4Owls network. See our Wireless page for more info. (9/2/2008)
  • Summer 2008 Construction of 23 New Smart Classrooms Complete - During the summer of 2008 a total of 23 CLA classrooms were upgraded to Level 2 or Level 6 smart classrooms. See Learning Spaces for more details on all our smart classrooms. (8/30/2008)
  • TUSecure Implementation - TUsecure is an initiative to provide everyone
    in the University with a single identity using one username and one password for all systems at the University. If you have not created a new password using TUSecure, please do so now.
  • TUsecure LogoeGrading Initiative - Instructors must submit all student grades for the spring 2008 semester electronically. eGrading can be accessed within the TUApplications section of TUPortal and online training is also available. For more information, please see the Temple Times article. (April 2008)
