Congratulations to Lili Mo and Fionya Tran- 1st place winners at the MAPS Conference Poster Competition
Congratulations to Fionya Tran and Lili Mo, who received 1st place for their co-authored abstract and poster at the 2015 Mid-Atlantic Pharmacology Society Annual Meeting on Thursday, October 22nd. The study conducted was on the effects of nicotine withdrawal on orexin cell activity (nicotine decreases orexin activity in the lateral hypothalamus).
Congratulations to Dr. Debra Bangasser, who recently received the The Janett Rosenberg Trubatch Career Development Award. Supported by the Trubatch Family, this award recognizes originality and creativity in research and promotes success during academic transitions prior to tenure.
Jasmine Ford, a Neuroscience and Psychology (dual major) student working in Vinay Parikh’s lab received the prestigious Diamond’s Peer Scholars Grant to study neural substrates of individual variation in age-related effects on attentional capacities. She has received a stipend of $4,000 to work on this project during summer and Fall of 2015.
Dr. Lisa Briand has been awarded a NARSAD (National Alliance for Research in Schizophrenia and Affective Disorders) Young Investigator Grant by the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation (https://bbrfoundation.org/yi).
