Neuroscience Program
Distinction in Major – Application for Intent

Majors in Neuroscience have the opportunity to be awarded departmental distinction upon graduation by meeting specific criteria:

• Completing an application of Intent for Distinction obtained from the Neuroscience Student Services Coordinator or from the Neurscience Program website 
• Maintaining a Grade Point Average 3.0 of better in all Neuroscience (NSI) Courses
• Completing two semesters of Independent Study in Neuroscience (NSI 4182 & 4282) with an A- or better
• Successfully completing a neuroscience research paper based on the Independent study work and presenting a poster of that work to faculty and students on an assigned posters session day

Distinction will be acknowledged on the student’s transcript and all distinction students will be awarded a medal to wear on graduation.
