Attached is a Save-the-Date notice for this year’s 9th Annual Eleanor M. Saffran Cognitive Neuroscience Conference. This year’s conference, entitled Advances in Working Memory and Working Memory Training: Implications for Language Processing and Rehabilitation, will be held on Friday, September 19th and Saturday, September 20th, 2014. Many of you receiving this notice will have attended the conference before – once or often. We appreciate your support and trust that the programs have achieved our aim to provide a forum to learn about and discuss current topics in the neuroscience and rehabilitation of language and other cognitive disorders.
We are excited about the topic of this year’s conference and are pleased to welcome six nationally and internationally recognized experts who are at the forefront of research on working memory and working memory training in the rehabilitation of speech and language disorders with adults and children. Moreover, we will be offering a second day “translational” workshop which will aim to address ways in which specific interventions can be implemented in a clinical or school setting. Jason Chein will also be speaking at this event.
The conference will be held in the Student Activities Center on Temple University’s main campus. Also, there will be a modest registration fee to offset the increasing costs of holding this conference. However, full-time students will be exempt from the registration fee.
We welcome you to join us for this very exciting program. Look for more information in the coming weeks.
