Research in Spatial Cognition (RISC) Lab

The Research in Spatial Cognition Lab Group is part of the Spatial Intelligence and Learning Center (SILC) which is funded by the National Science Foundation. The purpose of SILC is “to develop the science of spatial learning and to use this knowledge to transform educational practice, supporting children and adults in acquiring the scientific, technical, engineering, and mathematical (STEM) skills required for effective participation in an increasingly high-technology society and global economy.” To that end, the overarching goal of the RISC Lab is to understand spatial learning and cognition and how they can be fostered by effective technology and education.
