Graduate School Policies & Procedures

Although every effort is made to provide complete and accurate information, the descriptions of policies in no way serve as a contract. Some programs impose more stringent requirements than those set by the Graduate Board and the Graduate School. Applicants and enrolled students should contact their dean’s office to review School/College policies and their graduate advisors to  review current requirements.

CLA Graduate Grievance Procedure

Students who wish to appeal an academic matter, including terminations and dismissals, should consult the department handbook for procedures at the department level. Appeals beyond that level may go to the Associate Dean for Graduate Affairs and the CLA Graduate Committee and then to the Graduate School level (see  ”Academic Appeals to the Graduate Board”).
