Office of Web Communications
The Office of Web Communications works to help the College of Liberal Arts communicate strategic messages via the web. Web Communications oversees the development and management of our online properties, which includes web sites for the College of Liberal Arts and affiliated departments, research centers and institutes, as well as our presence(s) on social networking services. Web Communications also serves as a liaison between University-level marketing and communication efforts and our affiliated organizations.

Online Content Policies & Guidelines
The College of Liberal Arts provides Web systems and services to authorized organizations for University related information and education. The CLA’s central web server, cla.temple.edu, as well as the Temple University servers, www.temple.edu, hosts web sites on behalf of more than 40 departments and organizations. The College of Liberal Arts creates and manages third-party online properties for individual programs within its organization.
The following document seeks to help organizations within the College of Liberal Arts effectively manage and maintain these online properties and presence(s).

Because of the evolving nature of online media and communication technologies, the contents of this document are subject to ongoing change and revision. The Senior Web Developer for the College of Liberal Arts oversees a committee of interested individuals who are responsible for developing and maintaining these guidelines.
Style Guide
The College of Liberal Arts utilizes a set of visual, editorial, and technical standards to create a uniform look and feel across its web sites. Please note that College style guidelines are in addition to University guidelines, which supersede all other standards.

Content Management Software
The College of Liberal Arts is in the process of transitioning to a web-based Content Management System (CMS). Some programs currently use Adobe Contribute and FTU Webtools to maintain their web sites; others currently use WordPress.
