Immerse Yourself in the Art of Writing

Temple University’s College of Liberal Arts offers both undergraduate and graduate Creative Writing programs. Our classes teach students to think and write with clarity and imagination under the guidance of award-winning faculty. You’ll collaborate with your peers in inspiring and supportive workshops, take literature, humanities and arts courses and gain experience in the genre of your choice. Professors and students work in a close-knit community as they write their own stories, poems and essays within the living tradition of literature.

Master of Fine Arts (MFA)

Our MFA students work closely with faculty in fiction and poetry over the course of two years, participating in small workshops and one-on-one tutorials as well as special topics, literature and craft classes. Students can also take electives in the humanities, arts, theater, film and other graduate programs throughout the university.
