Kelly Elizabeth Sloane is a PhD candidate in the Department of Geography and Urban Studies where her research concentrates on the relationship between equality of opportunity, race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status and place. Sloane’s dissertation project analyzes discourse on public education choice in Washington, D.C. In addition to her work at Temple, she serves as a Public Policy Researcher for the William J. Hughes Center for Public Policy at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.
